Rent Payment
Management offices are not authorized to accept rent payments.
All rent MUST be mailed to the Housing Authority’s
P.O. Box address, which appears on the pre-printed envelope provided
with your rent statement and on the payment stub of the rent statement. Rent payments CANNOT and WILL
NOT be accepted at area
or site offices. If you misplace your envelope, an extra envelope
may be obtained from your management office or from the key keeper if you live in a mixed-population mid-rise.
Please do not send cash in the mail. All payments
must be made by check, money order or cashier’s check only. Please
make your check payable to KCHA or as otherwise instructed in your
lease.
To avoid delays in our receipt of your payment, enclose the
return portion of your rent statement
and your rent payment in the
preprinted
payment envelope provided each month.
All rent is due on or before the first day of
the month, and
is considered late if received after the seventh day
of the month. Please remember to allow adequate mail delivery
time to ensure that your payment
is received on time. If you have misplaced
your rent statement,
or you do not receive your rent statement by the last day of the
month, please contact your management office immediately
to
obtain a
replacement.
Please do not enclose notes, letters or other correspondence
in the envelope with your rent payment. Any correspondence to
KCHA staff
should be mailed separately to your management office.
