Weatherization & Repair
The King County Housing Authority manages weatherization and housing repair services for low-income residents throughout the county—except within Seattle city limits. We help hundreds of households each year, with a focus on:
- Low-income seniors
- Disabled persons
- Families with young children
- Native Americans
- Non-English speakers
These projects lead to safer, more energy-efficient homes.
KCHA works with each eligible household to identify needed work. We then obtain bids and order work from licensed and bonded contractors. KCHA approves all contracts and tracks all work done by the contractors.
