The King County Housing Authority issues requests for qualifications and requests for proposals for consulting, professional and human services. This includes architectural and engineering services, social services and other professional consultant services.

Project-specific RFQs are sent to firms selected from the Architectural and Engineering Services Roster based on the discipline needed. Criteria used to evaluate proposals generally include the following:

The appropriateness and responsiveness of the firm's proposed approach to the performance of the required services;
The extent and quality of the firm’s experience;
The experience, qualifications and availability of the staff, including subconsultants, proposed to perform the required services;
The demonstrated ability of the firm to complete required services in accordance with the project schedule and within budget.

These criteria (or others added as appropriate) are listed in order of importance in each RFQ letter sent to potential proposers.
