NORMAN ELECTED TO CLPHA BOARD
King County Housing Authority Executive Director Stephen Norman has been elected to the board of directors of the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities (CLPHA).
CLPHA, based in Washington, D.C., is a national nonprofit organization that works to preserve and improve public and assisted housing through advocacy, policy development, research and public education. Sixty of the nation’s largest housing authorities, who together manage more than 40 percent of all public housing and administer 30 percent of the Housing Choice voucher program, are members of the organization.
As one of 13 directors, all leaders of member housing authorities, Mr. Norman will help guide CLPHA’s policies and priorities.
“Stephen Norman will be an asset on the board and we’re glad he’s with us,” said Sunia Zaterman, executive director of CLPHA. “Progressive ideas are essential in our business right now. He has not only introduced many at the King County Housing Authority, he’s made them work.”
KCHA administers a range of quality affordable rental and homeownership programs for residents of King County. The Authority serves more than 17,000 families, elderly and disabled households on a daily basis.
