Description
The purpose of this solicitation is to qualify Consultants to contract with KCHA to provide professional services on an “as-needed” basis pursuant to the issuance of Task Orders for specific and selected services during the term of the Contract. The selected Consultant’s firm shall furnish all expertise, labor and resources in accordance with the requirements of KCHA and shall provide complete services necessary for the Task Order(s) issued throughout the duration of the contract.
Scope of Work
The Consultant will provide Pipe Video & Cleaning services which may include, but are not limited to:
1. Video inspection of waste, sewer, water and storm drainage pipes and control structures to determine the interior condition and location of the components with the use of a video camera or other special pipe inspection equipment.
a. Consultant must be able to inspect pipe sizes from 3” to 12”.
b. It would be preferable to the Owner if the Consultant could inspect 1.5” to 12” pipe.
c. Camera operator is to be NASSCO certified.
2. Documentation and evaluation of the inspection results in electronic format delivered on a suitably sized flash drive.
a. Documentation to include marked up as-built drawings.
b. Report is to be in a NASSCO format
3. High pressure hydro-vacuum cleaning, hydro-jetting cleaning, hydro-excavation services, coring services, and similar related services.
4. Consultant to provide plumbing services (either in-house or subcontracted) so all locations may be accessed (such as removing toilets, getting under sinks, opening/closing cleanouts, etc.)
a. Contract should also be able to perform spot repairs
5. Locate and document existing interior, under-slab and exterior waste and storm lines.
6. Short-term and long-term recommendations and cost estimates to correct the problems.
7. Work description/specifications as needed for bidding purposes.
8. Other services as required such as field observation and coordination with architectural and engineering consultants to complete design and construction documents for assigned projects.
9. Cost efficient functional services that meet the requirements of environmental compliance.
10. May also assist with master planning for various projects including development projects.
11. Perform analysis and evaluation of existing conditions at various sites and make recommendations for improvements, solutions, or modifications to existing conditions.
