Workforce (moderate-income) housing

Workforce housing is for households that can pay rent priced closer to market rates. The housing is owned by KCHA and managed by a private company.

About workforce housing

KCHA’s workforce housing is for people with moderate-incomes who can pay rent priced closer to market rates (this is different from Subsidized Housing). Tenants pay a flat rent amount each month, not a percentage of their income.

Eligibility and how to apply

To find out if you qualify, or to learn how to apply, you must call the property’s management office (not KCHA). Click on the name of any property in the list below to find its office phone number. This type of housing also accepts Housing Choice Vouchers.

Our housing search tool can check your eligibility for all of KCHA’s housing programs — including moderate-income housing — based on your family size, income, and housing preferences.
