Invitation for Bid: Window Replacement at Cottonwood Apartments

Estimate $212,878.00

600 building is under construction and is closed. Please email or drop off bids at the 700 building.

Scope of Work

Work consists of, but is not limited to:
a. Removal of existing windows and sliding glass doors and trim.
b. Trim or add material to ensure that windows meet wraps, sills and countertops.
c. Supply and installation of vinyl windows & doors, self-adhesive tape, sealant, fiber cement trim and metal flashing.
d. Paint trim boards to match existing.
e. Repair, patch and paint interior window wraps and sills.
f. Match existing slide orientation of all operable windows and patio sliders.
g. Contractor fully responsible to verify locations, sizes, operational orientation and quantities of all windows and sliding glass doors. KCHA is not responsible for any take off sizes or orientations.
h. Participation in PSE incentive program. Requires documentation of existing metal framed window rough opening sizes and associated paperwork.

Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference. Failure to attend the Conference will not relieve the Contractor of any responsibility for information provided at that time.
Bidders must have a current certificate of registration as a contractor for the last three years under the same name and have completed the required L&I training.
