Invitation for Bid: King's Court Site Improvements
The King County Housing Authority will accept Bids from Qualified General Contractors to furnish labor, materials and necessary equipment to complete site improvements as listed in the bid documents.
BIDDERS ARE TO DELIVER THEIR BIDS TO 600 ANDOVER PARK WEST, TUKWILA, WA BETWEEN 11:00AM AND 1:00PM. BIDS WILL BE OPENED AND RESULTS POSTED BY END OF THE DAY BIDS ARE DUE.
Scope of Work
King’s Court Site Improvements project will include removing and replacing selected walkways, extruded curb, wheel stops, and speed bumps; selective grinding, removal of asphalt, sub-base, and export necessary to complete subgrade compaction up to 6”.
New vertical curbing will include removing and disposal of existing asphalt, landscape, and soils necessary to install and construct all extruded curbing. The Contractor will adjust existing utility lids and catch basin grates or lids to match the new parking lot grade.
King’s Court has two locations of entry/egress to the property. During construction, one point of entry is to be accessible at all times. Bidders for this project will provide KCHA with an all-inclusive bid that will include all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, construction fencing, and sequencing and contingency that will take continuous access for the residents to get into account in and out of the site and their units.
The Contractor shall work through the site in stages to ensure parking area closings and openings are staggered during the work. As a maximum duration, any paving and striping closures must be completed within two (2) consecutive days.
