Instructions for New Applicants
Welcome! Thank you for considering a position with the King County Housing Authority (KCHA), an organization dedicated to providing quality affordable housing opportunities and building communities through partnerships. Here are the steps you can take to apply for our jobs:
Step 1: Review our job listings |
Positions we are currently recruiting for are listed here. Click on any of the job titles to view detailed information about the position.
When you find a job that interests you, click on that position and in the right corner you will see the “Apply link”. |
Step 2: Create your account |
To apply online with King County Housing Authority, you will need to create a free governmentjobs.com account and select a username and password. Creating your account takes only a few minutes. After your account has been established, you can build an application that can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.
Please Note: You must have access to e-mail to apply online, and you must have an e-mail address that is not shared by another applicant. If you do not have an e-mail address, you can set up a free email address at various websites such as www.gmail.com, www.yahoo.com, or www.hotmail.com. |
Step 3: Complete the application |
Build your application by typing it or by copying and pasting information from your resume into the appropriate sections of the application (work experience, education, licenses/certifications). You may attach your resume to the application; however you MUST include your employment history in the online application to be considered for employment. Applications may be rejected if incomplete. |
Step 4: Submit the application |
For your application to be submitted, you must click the "Confirm Application" button in step 4 (confirm the application) and click the "Accept" button in step 5 (certify and submit). When you receive a confirmation message thanking you for applying with the King County Housing Authority, your application has been successfully submitted. |
Step 5: Review the status of your application |
Once you have submitted your application, you can review its status by logging into your governmentjobs.com account and clicking the "Application Status" link near the top of the screen. You can also view and print your application through this link. |
