Family Self-Sufficiency Program for
Public Housing Residents

Do you want to be self-sufficient?

Do you have goals and dreams?

Do you need support, resources, and savings?

The Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program is a five-year program that's now available to Public Housing residents living at Burndale Homes, Evergreen Court, Firwood Circle, Green River Homes, and Kings Court.

If you are receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), not working, going to school, or have a job, then this program may be for you.

Benefits of participation:

• FSS will empower you with the confidence, the resources, and the encouragement to succeed.
• FSS will give you the opportunity to earn an escrow incentive account when you find and maintain suitable employment.
• FSS will help you actualize your goals and dreams.
• If you complete all of the goals on your Contract of Participation and are in good standing with KCHA, you will get the money the Housing Authority has saved for you.
• You can use that money to further your education, buy a home, start a business, or anything else that your family needs.

No matter where you are in your life right now, FSS can work for you. Learn more now!
