The HOPE VI Family Services Office at 9839 8th Ave. S.W., Ste #105A is in the heart of Greenbridge directly across from the plaza: (206) 574-1157.

The HOPE VI Family Services staff was assembled to work with impacted families before, during and after they transition from Park Lake Homes and into new housing at Greenbridge. Services are structured to support emergency and long-term assistance and are flexible to accomodate the needs of the residents. Hours: 8AM-5PM.

The King County Sheriff’s Office is right next door at 9839 8th Ave. S.W., Ste #105B: (206) 296-3332.

Their vision is to improve public safety by leading and promoting collaboration and professionalism in the criminal justice system. Their mission is to provide quality, professional, regional and local law enforcement services tailored to the needs of individual communities to improve the quality of life.

The Southwest Branch of the Boys and Girls Club is in the Jim Wiley Community Center at 9800 8th Ave. S.W., Ste #105: (206) 762-3221, fax (206) 762-5912.

With 12 full-service Clubs and 28 before- and after-school program sites, the organization is one of the largest of its kind in the nation, serving 18,000+ members annually. Program areas offered to youth include character & leadership development, education & career development, health & life skills, the arts and sports/recreation. Boys & Girls Clubs offer a safe haven that is there every day, year after year. The Clubs offer staff who care, encourage and inspire; a place where members feel a sense of belonging; where they are free to imagine. . . free to dream.

Mission Statement: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Hours for youth ages 6-12: Mon-Fri 2:30-7PM, Sat 10AM-3:30PM.
Hours for teens: Mon-Thu 2:30-8:30PM, Fri 2:30PM-12AM, Sat 10AM-3:30PM.

Neighborhood House & Tutoring Center is located in the Jim Wiley Community Center at 9800 8th Ave. S.W., Ste #101: (206) 461-4554, fax (206) 767-7671.

The mission of Neighborhood House is to help diverse communities of people with limited resources attain their goals for self-sufficiency, financial independence and community building. Neighborhood House has helped generation of families fulfill the promise of America – an education for their children, self-sufficiency for their families and a meaningful place in a caring community. They provide tutoring, citizenship classes, Head Start and Early Head Start programs, job training, case management, community health programs and transportation to more than 8,500 low-income people each year.

The YWCA Greenbridge Career Development Center is located at 9720 8th Ave. S.W. Hours: Mon - Thurs 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Fri 9 a.m. -4:30 p.m. (206) 336-7000.

King County Library Branch is located at 9720 8th Ave S.W.
The King County Library System is one of the highest circulating libraries in the United States with 43 libraries, a Traveling Library Center, a mobile TechLab and two ABC Express children’s bookmobiles. KCLS circulated nearly 18.4 million items in 2005 and serves about 1.2 million residents. KCLS offers a collection of more than 3.6 million items including books, periodicals, newspapers, audio and videotapes, films, CDs, DVDs and extensive online resources.

Highline Head Start is located at 10041 6th Ave. S.W., in the former Neighborhood House facility: (206) 812.9951. Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30AM-5:00PM.

Greenbridge Early Learning Center is on SW 100th Street along the northern edge of the White Center Heights Elementary School campus.

White Center Heights Elementary School is located at 10015 6th Ave. S.W., (206) 433-2437.

The mission of Highline Public Schools is to educate every student and expect excellence. Everything they do is focused on the ultimate goal of seeing each and every student graduate ready for college, career and citizenship. All students engage in rigorous, relevant, and personalized learning. All policies, practices, and behaviors support student achievement. School hours: 9:10AM-3:40PM.

The White Center Food Bank is at at 10829 8th Ave. S.W., behind the White Center Public Health Clinic. The large and efficient facility serves the White Center community: (206) 762-2848, fax (206) 762-2326, wcfb@drizzle.com.

Their mission is to minimize hunger while nourishing community, nurturing self-reliance and embracing our rich cultural diversity. The White Center Food Bank serves more than 1,000 hungry families each month.
Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 11AM-1PM; 2nd and 4th Wed 6-8PM. Baby Pantry hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 1-4PM.
